My goal is to develop a therapeutic relationship that allows the child to feel accepted, understood, and is given a safe space, tools, and the opportunity to process feelings through play.

About play therapy

Have you ever taken the time to observe a child play? Play is a child’s natural language. It is the way through which they express what is going on around them and within them. When matched with a therapist that demonstrates to be present, pays attention to details of the play, and facilitates play through therapeutic responses, the results are grounding and healing.

Meet the therapist

I have worked with children in different capacities. First and foremost, as a mother to 2 amazing daughters that are my pride and joy. I comforted children during one of their most anxious and vulnerable states as their pediatric dental hygienist for several years. I taught children and met their academic needs as a Kindergarten teacher. For the past 13 years, I have supported children socially and emotionally as an elementary school counselor. I have been a CASA volunteer to different sets of siblings, and supported children and their families as a monitor at The Warm Place, a grieving home for children. I am a Registered Play Therapist™ and use CCPT (Child-Centered Play Therapy) modalities because I believe that children, when given the opportunity and time, have the ability to heal through the mighty power of play.
